VitalCoach flips the slope flat. Once you're on Pro at $79/mo, client number 21 and client number 200 cost the same in software: nothing extra, no per-head add-on, no ceiling. A full roster is exactly where flat pricing wins hardest. Here's the honest headline: FitBudd's Pro is also $79/mo — the sticker matches — but it stops at 20 clients before the $2-each meter starts, while VitalCoach's $79 Pro is unlimited from the first client to the thousandth. Where FitBudd is genuinely cheaper — or simply better.

Here's the part most comparison pages leave out, because it doesn't flatter us. FitBudd's Starter plan at $15/mo for two clients undercuts VitalCoach's Solo at $19 — if you have exactly one or two paying clients and don't need AI, FitBudd's entry sticker is lower (though VitalCoach's Free plan is $0 for your first client, so the comparison flips again at one client). And FitBudd's real standout isn't price at all: on Super Pro and Elite it ships a fully white-labeled native app you publish in the Apple App Store and Google Play under your own brand, with direct client sign-ups. VitalCoach does not publish a per-coach app to the stores — our client app is web/PWA, and Studio ($199/mo) is white-label but not a store listing. FitBudd supports payment integrations on its higher plans, but you connect and run your own payment processor — another account to set up, another dashboard to reconcile, its own fees, and failed cards you chase yourself. VitalCoach folds billing in. On Pro we're the merchant of record: we collect from your client, retry the failed card in month four, absorb the chargeback risk and PCI compliance, and pay you 95% on the 1st of each month — bank deposit, PayPal, Wise, or paper check over $50.

The flat 5% we take isn't a surcharge on top of a subscription — it is the billing engine. And on Pro there's a kicker: once 5% of your monthly client billings reaches $79, your Pro subscription is billed separately from your plan subscription, which it does not reduce. There's no one-click import — you re-create each client and re-attach their programming, and clients sign in to the new platform. So don't migrate everyone on a random Tuesday. The clean playbook:

• Start free. Open a VitalCoach account and rebuild one program template you reuse often. Cost: $0 — no trial clock.
• Run one client end-to-end for two weeks. Log sessions, send a check-in, export a PDF — make sure the daily workflow fits your hands.
