On mypthub.net/pricing, checked 21 July 2026, Check-Ins AI is a $12/mo add-on on the Premium plan ($59/mo monthly) and is included in Ultimate ($215/mo monthly, $195/mo annual) alongside the full white-label app, Zapier, and extra trainer seats. Plenty of comparison pages stop there and call the add-on a flaw. So let's finish the arithmetic instead: $59 + $12 = $71/mo for unlimited clients with AI, or $64/mo on annual billing ($52 + $12). VitalCoach Pro is $79/mo. On sticker price, all-in, My PT Hub is cheaper than us — by $8 a month monthly, $15 annually. If the lowest all-in price for unlimited clients plus AI is your criterion, stop reading and buy My PT Hub Premium; it's the better deal and we're not going to dress that up.

The two bundles aren't identical, which is the only honest argument left for the $8. Check-Ins AI drafts check-in summaries and replies; VitalCoach's AI generates workouts and nutrition plans as well as check-in drafts — different scope, and you should judge which one you'd actually use. The bigger difference isn't AI at all: My PT Hub connects to your own Stripe or PayPal, so you stay the merchant and keep the invoicing, failed cards and reconciliation, where VitalCoach Pro includes the billing engine. And because that engine's 5% waives the Pro fee once it covers $79 (around $1,580/mo in client billings), a coach billing at that level pays us nothing for the software and still pays My PT Hub $71. Below that level, they're cheaper. Pick on which of those two facts describes you.

VitalCoach puts AI on the cheap plan on purpose. AI workout and nutrition generators plus AI check-in drafts are included on Solo at $19/mo. The reason is simple: AI is most useful when you're small and time-poor, not after you've scaled to the point of paying for a top-tier suite. Manual programming, logging, and PDF export are free with no AI at all — so you can run your first client at $0 and turn AI on the moment it saves you time, not the moment you can afford the Ultimate plan.

Checked 21 July 2026, My PT Hub offers a 30-day trial (no card) and states accounts are then downgraded to a Free plan, though the pricing page does not publish that plan's limits. Its Starter tier ($25/mo monthly, $22.50/mo annual) caps you at 3 clients. VitalCoach's Free plan is forever, for your first active client, with full programming, session logging, PDF export, and the exercise library — no card, no clock. A side-hustle coach can run a real client end-to-end and only start paying when the business is ready. Where My PT Hub wins on price: its Premium plan is $59/mo monthly ($52/mo annual) for unlimited clients, and $71/mo with Check-Ins AI added — still under VitalCoach Pro at $79/mo. If unlimited clients at the lowest all-in price is your only criterion, My PT Hub Premium is the better buy; VitalCoach Pro earns the difference only if you want the client billing engine, and only pulls ahead on cost once 5% of your billings waives our fee. Always confirm current numbers on each platform's own pricing page — published rates change.

Your processor, or one engine that pays you.

My PT Hub connects to your own payment processor, so client payments flow through your Stripe or PayPal account and the collections, failed-card retries, and reconciliation stay your job. That's flexible if you already run your own billing stack. VitalCoach offers the other model: on Pro it can be the merchant of record and takes a flat 5% on client billing — but the 5% is the engine. We collect from your client, retry the card that fails in month four, absorb the chargeback and PCI burden, and pay you 95% on the 1st of each month (bank, PayPal, Wise, or check over $50). And there's a kicker: once 5% of your monthly billings reaches $79, your Pro subscription is billed separately from your plan subscription, which it does not reduce. Prefer to keep your own processor? The 5% engine is opt-in. Run your own roster through the pricing-guide math and compare the all-in numbers, not the sticker prices.

Where My PT Hub is still the right call.

We'd rather you stay put than switch and churn back in a month, so here's the honest other side. My PT Hub is a long-established platform with a large user base, a mature custom-branded client app available beyond just the top tier, a deep exercise and demo-video library, and a broad set of integrations built up over years. If your clients already live in the My PT Hub app and love it, if you depend on its branded app or a specific integration, or you want a vendor with a long track record, that maturity is real and switching costs you some of it. VitalCoach is the newer, leaner option; it wins on a free tier, AI on the cheap plan, flat unlimited pricing, and bundled billing — not on breadth of integrations or app polish. Switch for the reason that actually hurts, not for the novelty.

How to move without breaking your roster.

There's no one-click import — you re-create each client and re-attach their programming, and clients sign in to the new platform. So don't migrate everyone on a random Tuesday. The clean playbook:

• Start free. Open a VitalCoach account and rebuild one program template you reuse often. Cost: $0 — no trial clock.
• Run one client end-to-end for two weeks. Log sessions, generate a check-in with AI, export a PDF — make sure the daily workflow fits your hands.
• Migrate at a billing boundary. Move the rest of the roster at the start of a billing cycle so client billing dates stay clean and nobody gets double-charged.
• Switch on billing when you pass 5 clients. Turn on the 5% engine once you're on Pro if you want us to handle billing end to end.

Two weeks of overlap is cheap insurance. The goal isn't to leave My PT Hub fast — it's to leave it once, cleanly, and not look back.
